Apple Mac Pro 8-Core
Apple recently announced that they would be delaying their much-anticipated OS X 10.5 Leopard in favor of the iPhone, while there may some debate as to how legitimate this claim is (some speculate that the iPhone is having more trouble than Apple is letting on, while others claim Apple is simply dedicating more resources to the product they feel will be more lucrative), that sure didn’t stop them from pumping out this monster.
The Mac Pro 8-Core ($4000) is a professional-grade machine, you’re probably not going to be interested if all you do is surf the web and fiddle with iTunes. The exterior is unchanged, why screw up a good thing. Apple states that this beefed up Mac Pro is up to two times faster than its quad-core sibling, so if you do a lot of video rendering or any other CPU intensive work, you may want to consider one.
